Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (6 oz) box chicken stuffing mix
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1 cup frozen green beans or mixed vegetables
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken:
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season lightly with salt and pepper. - Make the sauce:
In a bowl, stir together cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. - Add to slow cooker:
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken. Spread evenly. - Add stuffing:
Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix evenly over the top. Do not stir. - Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through. - Serve:
Gently fluff the stuffing with a fork. Shred or slice the chicken and serve warm.
Simply Made Tip
If the biscuits start browning too quickly, loosely tent the casserole with foil for the last 10 minutes of baking. Rotisserie chicken works great in this recipe and saves time.
