- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
- ¼ cup milk

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix to combine.
- Stir in mashed bananas and milk.
- Add dry ingredients to wet and stir gently until just combined — do not overmix.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to finish cooling.
