- 2 cups milk (whole milk recommended)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add 2–3 tablespoons of the milk and whisk into a thick, smooth paste.
- Turn heat to medium and slowly pour in the remaining milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly.
- Continue heating until hot but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or your favorite toppings.
