Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Season the chicken

Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.

2. Sear the chicken

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the sauce

Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.

4. Add parmesan

Stir in grated parmesan cheese and simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

5. Finish the dish

Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes until chicken is heated through and sauce is thick and creamy.

6. Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
