Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Make the crust: In a large bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add flour and salt; mix until crumbly. Press mixture evenly into prepared pan.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  4. Prepare the filling: In a separate bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour filling over the warm crust, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into bars. Store covered at room temperature or chilled.
