This is a Simply Made Recipe provided by Lilly Ashley. Good recipes, without the paragraphs and fluff to sift through!Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional for extra fudge factor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Fold gently until just combined — do not overmix.
  4. Add chocolate chips if using, and fold them in.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not clean).
  6. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. For clean cuts, chill for 30 minutes before slicing.

💡 Simply Made Tip:

For ultra-fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them cool completely before slicing — the texture sets as they cool for that perfect chewy bite.
