This is a Simply Made Recipe provided by Lilly Ashley. Good recipes, without the paragraphs and fluff to sift through!Ingredients
For the Brownies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional for extra fudge factor)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
- Add dry ingredients: Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Fold gently until just combined — do not overmix.
- Add chocolate chips if using, and fold them in.
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not clean).
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. For clean cuts, chill for 30 minutes before slicing.

💡 Simply Made Tip:
For ultra-fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them cool completely before slicing — the texture sets as they cool for that perfect chewy bite.
