Ingredients
- 1 sleeve (about 40) saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment or foil and lightly grease.
- Arrange crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Make the toffee: Melt butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour toffee over crackers, spreading quickly and evenly.
- Bake 5 minutes, until bubbling.
- Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee. Let sit 2–3 minutes, then spread evenly.
- Top with sprinkles or candy canes.
- Cool completely, then chill for at least 1 hour to set.
- Break into pieces and serve!
